Product Applications

Product Applications

Trans-oxide Pigments can be used in wood coatings, automotive coatings, architectural coatings, industrial coatings, powder coatings, art coatings, as well as plastics, nylon, rubber, inks, cosmetics and other fields.

When Trans-oxide Pigments are used in combination with organic pigments, not only can the color range be broadened and the chroma enhanced, but the poor weather resistance of organic pigments when used alone can also be significantly improved.

The “Jingwei Anba” series of pigments is primarily used for wood staining but can also be employed in industrial coatings.

Wood Coatings

Ultraviolet rays are the main culprits that damage wood, while Trans-oxide Pigments can strongly absorb ultraviolet radiation. When ultraviolet rays shine on wood coated with Trans-oxide Pigments, they are absorbed by the pigments, thereby protecting the wood and extending its service life. The transparency of Trans-oxide Pigments also allows the wood to retain its natural grain and soft colors, making them highly suitable for outdoor wood coatings and furniture paints.

Automotive coatings

The most typical characteristics of Trans-oxide Pigments are improved weather resistance, transparency, and UV absorption, making them highly suitable for automotive coatings. In solvent-borne or waterborne systems, they can be combined with aluminum pigments and pearlescent powders to create a variety of metallic shimmering paint effects. When mixed with organic pigments, they not only enhance the weather resistance of the coating but also achieve color effects that can only be obtained with expensive organic pigments, thereby reducing the production cost of automotive coatings.

Plastic Coloring

Easy-to-disperse Trans-Oxide Pigments can effectively absorb ultraviolet rays, and when applied to various plastic products, they not only deliver excellent transparent coloring effects but also enhance the anti-aging performance of the plastics, while providing protection for UV-sensitive items inside the containers.

Industrial Coatings

Coatings containing Trans-oxide Pigments can create a variety of colorful glitter effects in metallic paint applications. Their strong color stability and good temperature resistance make them promising for widespread use in both self-drying and baked coatings across various systems.

Artistic Coatings

The long-term weather resistance of Trans-oxide Pigments can maintain color effects for a long time, making them widely used in outdoor advertising and artistic decoration.

Powder Coating

Trans-oxide red remains colorless below 500°C (yellow, brown, and black remain colorless below 160°C for 5–20 minutes), making it suitable for powder coatings.

Printing ink

Water-based or solvent-based transparent iron oxide dispersions exhibit color brilliance comparable to that of organic pigments and transparent dyes, making them suitable for printing on aluminum tubes and for formulating inks of various colors with a metallic shimmer effect.

Cosmetics

The non-toxicity, UV-absorbing properties, and low heavy-metal content of transparent iron oxides make them suitable for use in the cosmetics industry.
